La Digue Island Lodge, Seychelles

Our Opinion
La Digue Island is a short ferry ride south east of Praslin and is one of the most exclusive and mythical islands of the Seychelles. The natural beauty of the beaches and vegetation is breathtaking and the island breathes calm and serenity. Here the main mode of transport is the bicycle but the traditional oxcart is also still very much part of the scene. On La Digue, time passes peacefully and offers a welcome break from the stresses of modern life.
The La Digue Island Lodge is an authentic resort situated on the west side of La Digue Island. It is located near one of the most exquisite beaches in Seychelles, Anse Reunion. This island is surrounded by a beautiful coral reef. The Lodge borders the Anse Reunion Beach in a peaceful and exotic tropical garden of coconut palms, Takamaka trees and flowering plants overlooking Praslin Island.

Coco Tendre Bar

The ‘Coco Tendre’ bar found in the receiption lounge is popular for its pre dinner cocktail and easy listening moment, whilst the more informal open air pool bar provides a taste of paradise, sip and swim or laze and enjoy your cocktail whilst watching the sun set.

The main Pecheur Restaurant offers a variety of cuisines with different theme nights ranging from Table d’hote menus to buffets with occasional live entertainment.

The Pool Restaurant serves ‘a la carte’ from mid morning to late afternoon meals, snacks and pastries both local and continental.

The hotel offers daily free half day excursions on land or aboard our traditional motor sailing schoooner to discover the islands (with the exception of landing fee to be paid by excursionist where applicable). All excursions from snorkelling in marine parks to cruising whilst the sun sets or hiking and trailing are guided by our hotel crew. Snorkelling equipment is available for rental.

The ‘Union Estate’ is a park in the midst of an enormous coconut plantation with a Giant Tortoise pen, traditional Coconut Oil Mill, Vanilla Plantation, Colonial Cemetery and Old Traditional Houses and many more interesting sights. It gives access to one of Seychelles’ most beautiful beaches, Anse Source D’Argent famous for its Giant formation of Granite. The entrace ticket to the park is offered to all the hotel guests and can be obtained from the Reception.

An independent Dive Centre is located within the hotel grounds and is managed by professional PADI certified instructors.
