Coco D'Or, Seychelles

Our Opinion
Set in the heart of the Beau Vallon village, Coco d’Or offers all the advantages of a large hotel within smaller, cosy surroundings. The close proximity of the hotel to the capital Victoria makes this an ideal place to stay for business travellers, transit guests and holidaymakers.
The village of Beau Vallon boasts a 3km long white sandy beach, a wide variety of restaurants and shops, a casino and a number of spas and watersports centres.
Summary
The Coco d’Or hotel is known as ‘the small hotel with a big heart.’ This hotel reopened in 1999 under new management, has undergone a complete renovation and refurbishment in 2002 with the addition of 17 new rooms. Built on 3 hectares of lush tropical land, on the north west coast of Mahe, this quiet and homely hotel is a mere four minutes walk from Beau Vallon, one of the island’s most beautiful beaches. The Coco d’Or sets itself apart from other hotels in the Seychelles by virtue of its location, amenities and unparalleled service philosophy. Five minutes drive from city of Victoria, seven minutes drive from the seaport and fifteen minutes drive from Seychelles international airport.
The Coco d’Or flawlessly recreates the style and ‘art de vivre’ that flourished in Seychelles during the 1950s.

Guest facilities available within the hotel are car rental and taxi service, excursions, a boutique, currency exchange service, a business centre, a health and beauty treatment centre, swimming pool and Jacuzzi, pool bar, babysitting, in-house laundry service and library facilities. Beach towels are also available to hire free of charge.

This small hotel also has the unique feature of having 3 restaurants on its premises, an Italian, a Chinese and the main restaurant serving traditional Creole and international cuisine.

Watersports offered on Beau Vallon beach include windsurfing, hobby cats, canoes and paddle boats. Other activities available on request include deep-sea fishing, bottom line fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving and mountain and trail walks.
